Blogging like crazy today. First rainy weekend in Vancouver so it has to happen! Not that I'm complaining. The forest fires are very scary and I hope the rain helps get them under control. Thuggies love nature and one day when we're up and running full scale, we'll make a Nature Conservancy Thuggie, maybe with the same colouring as a pine tree. Won't that be fun? I digress.
A couple weekends ago, I went down to the most wonderful place in America, the Reid family cabin at Point Roberts. It is so magical there. I'd post a picture but I wouldn't want to infringe on the family's privacy. They were all quite enchanted with the wonder that is the Thuggie, with many orders coming from grown ups! Real grown ups! Partners at law firms, grown ups! They were aghast at the cost of Thuggies, thinking them quite cheap. I agreed, in that you can't put a price on comfort but I explained the difference in career growth that the average 20 something is at versus real, professional grown ups. Still it was nice to see their response. We're going to start family reunion versions. The lovely lady in red in this picture, my new favourite person (so, long, farewell...CUCKOO) suggested to me yesterday the bridal thuggie.
We'd already thought that they'd be great for his and her's gifts, but it didn't occur to us that they could also be fun bridal party gifts. If you order more than 8 or so (I'll have to check with Business Brad) you have a way larger range of colours and then we probably don't have to charge for custom colours! Think about it.
Anyway, all this came from a magical time at Point Roberts. Mariannie, crumbs, tanks, and all that jazz.
